Pitched Roofs

Our product range for pitched roofs include solution for application either at the ceiling line or above the rafter, which all provide thermal, fire and sound protection.

Application at the ceiling line is ideal for residential buildings where the loft space does not need to be habitable. Our solutions include multiple easy installable products ranging from different insulation rolls to blown fibers. We also offer a range of insulation solutions for application between the rafters. These can be used in conjunction with insulation above the rafters to achieve the desired level of performance.

What environmental impacts/benefits are there from using ROCKWOOL?

The natural basic rock material for making ROCKWOOL is an abundant resource. Great care is taken during both the manufacturing process and distribution of finished insulation products to minimise any environmental impact. ROCKWOOL's operation team monitors the production processes carefully to ensure any emissions are within specified limits. It is ROCKWOOL Group policy to adhere to environmental standards better than national or local requirements. Please visit the Sustainabilty section of the website and watch the Sustainabilty video below for more in-depth information.

How long does ROCKWOOL roof insulation last before I need to replace it?

ROCKWOOL insulation has been proven in service for over 70 years in a wide range of climates and exposures. ROCKWOOL insulation will generally perform effectively throughout the lifetime of the host structure, associated attachments or fittings and therefore does not need any replacement.

How do I cut ROCKWOOL roof insulation products to fit?

ROCKWOOL insulation can easily be cut with a long bladed knife or insulation saw available from DIY outlets.
